Bondware Launches New Administrator

Bondware launched the latest version of its Bondware Core today (release 77), incorporating probably the most dramatic and innovative changes since Bondware first moved from the Ease/2.0 platform to the PHP/3.0 platform. Almost every part of the Core Administrator has received a makeover of one magnitude or another, and the new drop-down menu structure allows users of Bondware to get from any one part of the administrator to any other part with just one click.

These new series of changes are targeted to make using Bondware easier for new and old users alike. After hundreds of hours of development over the past two months and in-depth usability testing with both new and experienced Bondware users, Bondware is finally proud to make the release of its new Administrator official. Bondware has made use of some of the latest in Internet technology, including advanced CSS and JavaScript menus, dynamic forms and pages, and interactive Ajax applications, to bring this new platform to its users. The Administrator homepage includes a brand new one-stop-source menu to quickly get to the most important parts of the Administrator. The completed Help Center is also available from any page via the "Help" menu at the top of the page.

One of Bondware's coolest new features is the control panel for your site design. Simply clicking on the "Design" menu at the top of any page can get you to this page that includes a diagram of the layout of any Bondware site, which you can click on to go directly to change the look and feel of the relevant part. Additionally, the entire Site Design/Look & Feel part of the Bondware administrator has been overhauled. Instead of having to hunt down where different parts of each feature can be changed, users can now find all the options for the header on the Header page, for the footer on the Footer page, etc. Look & Feel pages have also been divided into essential settings that you should pay attention to and advanced settings that you can safely ignore if you are not an advanced Bondware user, and the HTML/WYSIWIG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor now has an in-place toggle that turns the editor on and off and remembers your preference the next time you return to that page.

Another change users may notice is the updated Navigation/Link Management system. This interface has been simplified and made interactive to make it as user-friendly as possible. The form to add a link has been updated and given more dynamic options for creating a link, without users needing as much Internet know-how as they once did. Most significantly, users can now choose not only between the Primary and Secondary sidebars as they always have, but also the Top Navigation Bar, a new drop-down menu that users can populate and control as easily as they control their sidebars.

Here are some of the other key features of the Bondware Administrator that have undergone changes in this release:

• Content Management (pages & articles)
• Member Management
• Site settings and toggles
• Webforms

The final new feature in release 77 is the concept of Bookmarks. Just like bookmarks in your browser help you get quickly to your favorite places on the web, you can bookmark any page in the Bondware Administrator via the Bookmarks menu and return to that page quickly later. You can even organize your bookmarks into folders! The existing "Extras" links that have been on the right side of your Bondware Administrator homepage have been turned into bookmarks, but if you wish to make new bookmarks or even start your bookmarks from scratch, you can by clicking on "Manage Bookmarks" in the Bookmarks menu.

We hope this new and exiting transition will prove to be beneficial for all of our present and future customers. We have worked hard to make Bondware simply the best you can find on the Web. Please read about which browsers Bondware supports and contact us if you experience any difficulties upgrading. Be sure to keep your eyes open for these further upcoming enhancements to your Bondware Experience:

• A new Module Manager that allows you to browse and research all of the modules in our store and purchase and install them without ever leaving your Bondware Administrator
• A new Skins Manager that will work similar to the new Module Manager
• Video tutorials to get you started quickly and introduce you to some of the lesser-known but very powerful features of Bondware
