Bondware Version 4.31
Bondware is back! We’ve gone back to our roots and reinstated the Bondware branding for our flagship CMS product. We think this change will eliminate some of the confusion folks have had when referring to our products. To be honest, most people never stopped calling it Bondware.
A new name isn’t all we have in store for our customers this month. The Bondware development team has been hard at work adding some nifty new features to the Bondware CMS and a major upgrade to the Ad Manager module.
Site Design Tool
It seems like everything that is old is new again. Back on the Bondware 3 platform there were options that allowed you to easily control the colors of your site without having to know anything about coding web pages. Now, we are pleased to report that we have restored this functionality and then some. Our ‘Site Design’ tool allows anyone to set the widths and colors for their site in seconds when using our standard templates. Older custom templates will continue to operate with no changes. More information on using the site design tool can be found here.
This month we have updated the HTML editor (TinyMCE) bundled with Bondware to the latest version. With this update we have also included the ability to use custom formats. Custom formatting means with one click you can add specific styles to your page. For instance, if you want to add a border around your image, just click the image and choose the ‘Bordered Image’ format. Voila, your image has a border. This update also fixes some of the outstanding issues with aligning text and images. More information on how to use custom formats can be found here.
Ad Manager Update
Earlier this month we released a major update to our Ad Manager module. This update includes the ability to search ads by date meaning you can search for those ads that are 2 years old and no longer in service then delete them all in one fell swoop. We have also added the ability to store and serve your ad images using Amazon S3. Using Amazon S3 for ad storage can drastically help with storage costs. Watch for more upgrades to this module in the coming months. More information about the new Ad Manager features can be found here.
