"I've been very impressed with the service newspapers receive from Bondware: attractive, effective sites with minimal time investment. They are a perfect fit for small newspapers. "

Developer Program

Bondware is pleased to offer a Module Developer program for qualified individuals.  Under this program, module developers will receive 50% of all one-time and monthly recurring license fees collected by Bondware for their modules.

Required development skills include mastery of PHP, MySQL and general knowledge of web development tools and practices.

All Bondware developers are eligible for a free development website.  You can start this process by starting a free Bondware trial site.  Inside the Admin area of this trial site under the Tools menu, you will find "Developer Tools".  Click here and complete the application form that is presented.  This will trigger our staff to review your application.  Once approved, your trial site will become permanent and it will present options to create a new Bondware module.

Once you create the new module, you will need to contact our support staff to obtain FTP access to your development site.  You can use Dreamweaver or any other FTP-enabled editor to edit scripts for your module.

Once your module is complete, you can package it under the Admin|Tools|Developer Tools.  Also, there is a MySQL interface available for managing your database schema and testing.

The final step required to enable payments is to register as a vendor.  This is where we capture info such as address and tax-id required for 1099 tax statements at year-end.

Bondware does require that developers waive license fees for all Bondware-operated websites that  are used to promote Bondware in general, and third-party modules in particular.  This includes niche marketing websites as well as industry specific templates used as starting points for customer trial sites.

All prospective developers should read the "Bondware Module Developer's Guide" available in our Developer Documentation section of the site.  This provides detailed info required for the development of Bondware modules.

Good luck and we look forward to marketing and selling your modules.
