The Bondware Blog
Welcome to the first Express Developer Blog. We hope to use this as a platform for highlighting new features and creating a dialog between us, the guys who make the software and you, our wonderful customers who use our software.
There is a lot of exciting activity surrounding Express development and marketing right now. We’ve just released a new update that includes the first iteration of our Guideline Tool. This tool was developed in order to help designers create professional looking sites. We heard from a number of Express customers about the challenges of making boxes and text line up on the screen. The new Guideline Tool simplifies the process by providing draggable horizontal and vertical guidelines along with rulers that appear on both the top and left of the editor window.
At the present we’re working to make the guidelines persistent even if you reload the page. When we’re finished, a designer can set their guidelines for the entire site and turn them on and off as needed to add elements and tweak their layout. If you’ve yet to use the rulers and guidelines check them out, we think they’re pretty cool.
As for the marketing of Express, we’ve just rolled out our Express Affiliate program. In order to drive more traffic to our site and spread the love, we’re enlisting the help of webmasters and the blogosphere. For each referral that leads to a purchase, an Express affiliate will receive the cost of the first month, $9.95.
Interested in posting affiliate ads on your Express site? Just go to http://www.bondware.com/affiliate.php and apply to become an affiliate. Once you’re approved, we offer a variety of ads and ad sizes to choose from. Simply copy the ad code and drop it into an embed object on your site.
