All the News That's Fit to Crawl
A common dilemma for our newspaper customers is whether to provide free access to their news content on their website. One school of thought believes this cannibalizes print subscriptions with no real opportunity to regain those revenues. Another school believes that open access to articles attracts search engine crawlers to index their website content, ultimately leading to more human traffic and more online advertising revenues. To help our customers split the difference, we have added a setting to article sections where articles behind the "paywall" can be opened to the public x number of days after publication. This prevents cannibalization of the current print edition while providing fodder for the search engine crawlers over the long term. Upgrade your Bondware core to version 128 and edit a content section to try out this powerful new setting.

Reduced Bandwidth and Storage Fees for High Volume Customers
One of our ongoing priorities is to reduce the costs of bandwidth and storage for Bondware customers. At the end of the day, we would rather be a software company that earns revenue from the value of our software instead of bandwidth and storage fees. Until we reach this point we will continue to work diligently to reduce costs and occasionally make meaningful announcements like the one below.
Effective 2/1/11, we were able to drop the bandwidth and storage overage charges for two of our higher volume plans. Customers on our High Traffic and Mega Traffic plans will see their storage overages drop by 25% from $4/100 MB over allowance to $3/100 MB. Likewise, data transfer (bandwidth) will drop 33% for High Traffic plan customers and 50% for Mega Traffic plan customers. Existing customers will see these changes on their February invoices.
