Release Notes: Version 87
- Multi-language capabilities have been added to the core in this release. This provides a common infrastructure for module developers to add multi-lingual support to their applications (including multi-byte languages). For modules developed using this system, site owners can enable support for additional languages on demand & easily manage the import/export of language tables for editing by 3rd party translation services. This system will be documented in the Bondware Module Developer's Guide and multi-language enabled modules will likely start to roll-out over the next few months.
- Made significant changes and improvements to Member Homepages. Homepages now support up to 10 tabs/templates, which can be customized to detail unique information on each template. Additional homepage variables have been added to allow better control of homepage objects. Each template can also be customized via the admin homepage options or CSS. If you aren’t familiar with member homepages, you can view yours by logging in and typing http://www.mydomain.com/hompage.php or check our online knowledge base for more information, available at http://support.bondware.com. Also, see Members -> Member Homepages in the Admin Menu to begin using your new homepages now.
- Made the "Refer By" and "Member Type" options on member sign-up and profiles completely optional in both the user-side and the administration end. In your Admin Menu, see Members -> Member Settings -> Manage Sign-Up Questions
- Fixed a bug related to "Member Type" fields on member sign-up and profiles.
- Added the article publish date to search results in the Site Search.
- Added the ability to hide the header cell on the site homepage. See Design -> Homepage in your Admin Menu.
- Modified how sidebars are designated to display on certain pages and whether they display on the left or right. After upgrading, please see Design -> Sidebars to explore the new settings available to you.
