The Basics
Every Bondware website receives a unique custom subdomain that looks like <your-sitename>.bondwaresite.com upon creation. This address is often used while clients evaluate Bondware's features during our free trial period.
You can take your site customization a step further by setting up a completely custom domain such as www.your-company.com, which removes all traces of Bondware branding. Even when you add a custom domain for your site, your unique <your-sitename>.bondwaresite.com subdomain still works to access your site.
Benefits of a Custom Domain
A custom domain provides clearer digital branding. Your users see a consistent and familiar domain in their browsers, emails, and marketing materials, which helps with trust and brand recognition.
We provide free SSL certificates for custom domains used with Bondware websites. This ensures secure access to the site.
Configuring Your Custom Domain
Once you have decided upon the address you will use for your custom domain, you will need to set up a DNS CNAME record with your domain registrar for your custom address.
The most common form of this is a CNAME record with a name like www.your-company.com and value of <your-sitename>.bondwaresite.com. Share the custom domain you have created with Bondware support when activating your site. This setup insulates you from future changes to Bondware's internal IP addresses and infrastructure.
